The apartment doesn't face the street but a private inner courtyard with a large pool, and that courtyard keeps the traffic away. Just outside the door is the centre of Albir, with all the bustle that comes with it. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a covered parking space. A hundred metres to the beach.

In July and August, the afternoon shifts to the courtyard behind the building, where the pool and sun loungers are; the south-facing terrace gets too much sun by then. Seventy-five metres to the beach, with the boulevard starting almost right outside the door. One bedroom, plus a sofa bed in the living room — with four people it's full.

The upper terrace is where the evening light lasts longest — that's the terrace you end up sitting on. The house has been completely rebuilt inside: six beds, fibre-optic internet, a garage big enough for the bikes. Two hundred metres to the restaurants, five hundred to the beach: of the four houses, this is the one furthest from the sea.
